Animal Crossing: New Leaf will not Support Paid DLC

In a recent Q&A session, Satoru Iwata revealed that Nintendo had no plans of providing paid DLC for the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Leaf. This is great news for fans looking forward to the Nintendo 3DS entry of Animal Crossing.

Imagine paying $0.99 (or more) for a new couch, or any other piece of furniture. You could easily spend a huge chunk out of your money if you’re the type that needs to have it all. Nintendo obviously isn’t interested in taking every last dollar from Animal Crossing fans, and it’s an admirable stance, especially when other companies just don’t care.

That doesn’t mean there will be no DLC at all. My best guess is that Nintendo will roll out new items for free like in Animal Crossing: City Folk.

Do you agree with Nintendo’s stance on paid DLC in Animal Crossing: New Leaf?
