Nintendo Unveils Wii Mini Console

Nintendo of Canada has unveiled that Wii Mini is real and it’s coming exclusively to retailers in Canada for the holiday season. Starting December 7, you can buy yourself one of these brand new Wii Mini consoles for $99.99.

Wii Mini will debut with a brand new look and load Wii game discs from the top. It’s a black console with red trim and comes with a Red Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuck. It will play 1,400+ Wii games, but features no GameCube support. Though it should work with most Wii accessories.

Wii Mini will also nix the Wii’s built in Wi-Fi component, meaning there will be no way to connect Wii Mini to the Internet. Of course, this would also mean that there is no Virtual Console, or WiiWare services.

Wii Mini will be available exclusively in Canada on December 7 and during the holiday season. It will sell for a suggested retail price of $99.99. There are no indications that the console will come to other regions after the holidays.
