On the heels of the Wii U Virtual Console announcement, Nintendo also presented a celebration for the 30th anniversary of the Famicom. Starting today, gamers will be able to purchase classic Nintendo games for a mere 30 cents on the Nintendo eShop. These games will only be available at this price for 30 days.
This will also serve as a trial campaign for the Wii U Virtual Console as it won’t be ready until after the Spring’s Wii U system update. What games will be available for 30 cents, you ask? Here’s a list of the seven games that will be a part of Nintendo’s Famicom celebration:
- January – Balloon Fight
- February – F-Zero
- March – Punch Out! Featuring Mr. Dream
- April – Kirby’s Adventure
- May – Super Metroid
- June – Yoshi
- July – Donkey Kong
