Pokémon X and Pokémon Y Coming to Nintendo 3DS This October

During this morning’s Pokémon Direct, Satoru Iwata announced Pokémon X and Pokémon Y for Nintendo 3DS. For the first time ever, both new versions of Pokémon will be coming to the world at the same time. North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia can all pick up the game this October.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y marks the brand new generation of Pokémon games, and also marks the first time the series has been offered in full 3D. The game world and Pokémon will all be modeled in 3D, as well as be offered in stereoscopic 3D.

Of course, every new Pokémon generation brings brand new Pokémon and we got our first glance during the trailer shown today. Chespin, Froakie, and Fennekin will be the three new starter Pokémon for the sixth generation.
