Looking to download LEGO City Undercover to your Wii U when it releases next week? Well, you might not be able to unless you have an external hard drive attached to your Wii U.

LEGO City Undercover’s official website has warned consumers that an external hard drive is indeed required to download the game from the Nintendo eShop. Reports are suggesting that the game will be a hefty 22GB, not uncommon for HD games.

It’s no secret that Nintendo foolishly skimped on internal storage for both SKUs – 8GB for the Basic and 32GB for the Deluxe – of its Wii U console. This is already becoming an issue just a few months after its launch, which is a bit weird considering how well Nintendo is operating its current online storefronts.
