RCMADIAX is on a roll with their continuing support of the Wii u eShop. Now, they will be bringing a game that is heavily inspired by Flappy Bird to the Wii U eShop.
Spikey Walls puts gamers in control of a fly as they try to avoid walls with spikes by flying through small gaps. If that sounds familiar, it’s because you, at one point, got involved in the Flappy Bird craze in one way or another. The main differences here are the ability to post to Miiverse, and using a button to fly instead of tapping the touchscreen.
Renegade Kid has been all over the map as of late with the recently released Moon Chronicles: Episode 1, the Mutant Mudds Deluxe update for owners of the Nintendo 3DS game, and their unfortunate Kickstarter failure for Cult County. Regardless of their successes or failures, Renegade Kid is still kicking and currently moving onto another project. This time, the Nintendo 3DS will get a heavy dose of “Metroidvania” – a term I despise but feel I must use – in its recently revealed 3DS game, Xeodrifter.
Xeodrifter will sport a pixel-based style that uses a limited palette like every NES game. The game is said to feature a bite-sized adventure – which Jools compares to Ikachan – that plays like a Metroidvania, but can be beaten fairly quick. Sticking with the Metroidvania vibe, there will be plenty of items and secrets to find, as well as multiple areas to traverse.
Jools will be providing a developer diary for Xeodrifter over at GoNintendo every Sunday/Monday, so make sure you head over there to get all the details.
