Bear Box Media, developer of Internal Invasion, is currently working on U Host, a game that lets you create your own game show experience.
U Host is coming exclusively to the Wii U and will let up to 5 players, or 4 teams, compete while one person hosts the game show using the Wii U GamePad. The host will use the Wii U GamePad to get the show going, while contestants use Wii Remotes and/or Pro Wii U Controllers to participate in the fun.
These game shows can consist of answering over a 1000 questions from 10 pre-set categories, or you can create your own experience in 2 blank categories to be decided by you. There are also over 20 mini-games for contestants to play if you want to get away from the questions for a bit.
U Host encourages hosts to make up their rules, which could include some adult beverages, to create their own intriguing experiences. One such feature that can add some entertainment to the mix is the ability to block out the buzzers of specific players.
U Host is currently scheduled to release on the Wii U eShop this holiday season.
Hyrule Warriors: it’s time to fight.
Frenchy Bird is a 3D clone of the famous Flappy Bird mobile game. In Frenchy Bird, players must control a Parisian pigeon and fly between lamp posts on the streets of Paris. Players will be able to post to Miiverse – which includes Frenchy Bird stamps that are unlocked in-game – as well as compete to reach the top of the worldwide rankings. Frenchy Bird will also support Off-TV play using the Wii U GamePad.
Frenchy Bird is expected to launch on the Wii U eShop in North America by the end of the year.
Alph from Pikmin 3 will be an alternate skin for Olimar. Alph, however, is being titled Alph and seems to count more as another character as opposed to just an alternate skin. It’s worth noting that Alph seems to be bigger than Olimar, which may be one of the only differences between the two.
Ubisoft has finally announced a release date for their “final” mature game on the Wii U. Watch Dogs is scheduled to release on November 18, 2014 on the Wii U and will feature unique Wii U GamePad functionality. This unique functionality includes an interactive map of Chicago on the Wii U GamePad and Off-TV play.
So, who will be buying Watch Dogs for Wii U come this November?
Quaternion Studio and EnjoyUp Games will be bringing Rock Zombie to the Wii U eShop. A release date wasn’t announced, though the game can be found now on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Ouya.
The game follows a female rock band that must deal with a zombie invasion. The story is told through a series of comic strips and lets you play as three characters (Zoe, Sasha, and Crystal) as they use guitars and other items to bash on zombie fiends.
Nintendo is offering another eight digital titles across the Wii U, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and DSi for this month’s featured game rewards at Club Nintendo. I think most of these have been offered in the past, but there are some quality titles here for those that may have missed their chance before.
Spikey Walls will be flying into the Wii U eShop next Thursday, September 18, 2014. The game features simple action that requires only the press of the A button. Spikey Walls will sell for the low price of $0.99.
