Top 20 Sonic the Hedgehog Zones

This list was initially created to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. The idea was to go through each Sonic game and pick out my favourite zones. Well, last year I played through 52 zones spanning the classic Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, and Sega CD games. Out of those 52 zones, I managed to narrow this list down to 20. It was grueling to replay each game, but now I can proudly present you the Top 20 Sonic the Hedgehog Zones

This is a great zone for many reasons. First, it has an incredibly upbeat song worthy of any Sonic game; however, the jungle setting is its real strength. However, Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble was a game crafted specifically for the Game Gear. It was released shortly after Sonic and Knuckles and actually has a similar story. Read more

Shinobi Review (GG)

As a kid, Shinobi is one of those games that I played over and over again. I even played this game every weekend for a whole summer at one point. Unlike a lot of Game Gear games, it was developed specifically for Sega’s handheld and is quite a bit different than its Sega Genesis counterpart. After all these years have passed, I get to play this game once again, but does Shinobi still hold that same magic? Quite frankly, I have to say yes; Shinobi still has that magic I adored when I was a kid. Read more
